Francesco Guardiani is co-Editor along with Eric McLuhan and Bernard Hibbits of McLuhan Studies, and the Acting Director of the McLuhan Program at the University of Toronto..

He is a Professor of Italian Literature at the University of Toronto, and is published in the areas of Renaissance and Baroque, contemporary literature and criticism. His present interest is the traditional description of cultural transformations, and he plans to write on the effects of the simultaneous perception of history and the challenges of the new historiography.
